I want to buy an upright vacuum, Freezer Please help.?
I want to buy an amount or a chest freezer and know nothing about them, can you please help. What is the best. GE or Frigidaire?? (Must be frost-free) and are they costly? If an amount, I need something on the order of a16cu. ft, frost free chest If a 16cu above.
A "Chest Freezer type is usually the choice of more energy efficient because of the design. All the cold air is maintained in the unit when the door is open, as opposed to a vertical model. In both cases, look for one with the "star" Energy Label. A vertical model is generally easier access to all items in the freezer and takes less foot print 'a', a floor plan. Thus, you need think about how you will use, and where you want to put it. To "use bulk" … you may prefer the chest freezer. If you have many different types of objects you want to keep on hand, or if you want to access the content several times a day, you might prefer vertical. Baskets / containers in freezer chests will make them more "user friendly hehehe … you can get points on the bottom more quickly. We in a chest freezer at home, with baskets of clothes to sort up to find food quickly. We buy our meat in bulk (half or whole beef, both, butcher), and put 'hamburger' in one basket, "roast" in another, and so on. Most freezers are also equipped with a sliding tray basket, which move along a rail on the top edge of the freezer. I suggest writing a day on your food packages, and be sure to "turn" your inventory … use packages over first. For security reasons, keep things like chicken and fish, in separate containers. (Preferably in sealed containers). Chicken is a potentially dangerous source of salmonella …. If for some reason your freezer stopped working, and the contents thawed …. you have to destroy everything that the chicken has fled. Thus, some minutes of the organization, can potentially save you a bit. GE, Frigidaire, Kenmore, Westinghouse, are all established brands with good units. If you want a more "basic" unit, without frills, then you might look Roper, white, etc. Good luck
