Be Prepared – Top 10 things to have in your bag for paintball equipment
I can not count the number of times I saw someone arrive at a paintball field or to find out they left their hopper at home … or how many times have I seen a gun break to see that the owner does not have a kit of tools or spare parts available. Fortunately, in most cases, there are others around who do remember, and we are happy to help you, but sometimes lacks the means you can get to sit and watch others play.
That being said, I compiled a list below the top 10 things to do than you always have in your bag before leaving the field. We assume that for reason for this article, you do not forget your gun.
1. Paintball Mask – This should probably be number 1, 2 and 3 on the list. You should never play paintball without a mask that is designed for paintball. Let me say it. You should never play paintball without a mask which is designed for paintball. Your eyes are very important to take the slightest chance of losing them. Safety glasses or sunglasses do not protection you need when a paintball is a course to your face is 285 feet per second.
Paintball masks come in many varieties. All masks are designed for paintball must meet minimum safety requirements, so after that your choice will focus more on comfort, visibility, and style. More expensive masks tend to excel in all three areas, but something like the entry level VForce Armor Goggles are very good for beginners. For more experienced players, you can find them wear profilers or VForce Vision Systems VForce Grill.
2. Safety Gear – Even if a mask is considered as safety equipment, I felt it was important to include separately. There are a number of other safety devices that must be considered as well as paintball gloves, neck protectors, and knee and elbow pads. They make you more likely to dive in when necessary to avoid being shot, and make you less likely to hurt it. You can also wear a chest protector and back. These come in different varieties and help to reduce the number bumps and bruises you get home with. Spyder Body Shield is a version very popular because it looks more like a jersey of a receiver plastron.
strong> 3. First Aid Kit – I keep a small first aid kit in my bag in case I get a cut or scratch. You can usually find any general purpose kit at your local drug store. I usually make sure it includes bandages, antibiotic ointment triple gauze and tape. If it does not include them, I will throw in a little bottle of analgesic in case I get a headache, or that I get, for some aches and pains associated.
4. Tonneau Cover – I keep my coverage on my gun barrel when falls. It helps me avoid forgetting. All fields reliable and insured, you will need to have a cover barrel on your marker at any time except during the reading. Most will not accept a cap gun, so if your marker came with a card that most Spyder paintball guns have so far last year, you will want to get coverage barrel before leaving the field. If you forget, most areas will be happy to sell you one.
5. Raclette – Squeegees come in a few different formats. The swab "battle" consists of two soft ends, which can be inserted into the barrel to absorb the paint. In general, they fold in half and are fairly easy to keep in your back pocket or cargaison pants for easy cleaning in the field if you break a ball in the barrel. Jerk scrapers made of a wire or plastic head with rubber washers and fabric on one end. They are drawn by the cannon to shoot the bulk of the paint. Straight shot squeegees are similar, but not much flexibility in them. Both the shock and squeegees forehand require that you remove your gun or disassemble your gun for use, so they are not ideal for field cleaning. I would recommend having both a buffer and a shooting battle reflex or directly squeegee in your bag. It's frustrating to have your balls are all ways except the right because you have a dirty barrel.
6. Nitro or CO2 Tank – It seems obvious but it should mention that you should not forget your tank. There are two main types of tanks … CO2 tanks are usually measured in ounces, which describe how much liquid CO2 tank will hold. 20 oz CO2 tanks seem to be the most popular and is usually a full tank of 900 to give you 1000 shots. Keep in mind that some weapons (firearms generally more expensive) does not recommend the use of CO2 tanks and instead recommend nitrogen, which in most cases of normal compressed air. These are usually measured by the size of tanks ( CC or CI) and pressure (psi or pounds per square inch). The more the reservoir and the highest PSI, shots than you get. It is interesting to note that all fields can not fill the reservoirs more PSI, you can end up being 3000PSI fills 4500psi tank.
If you play a lot or no formal play on a field, then you may want to consider having two tanks. This will allow you to obtain both completed and you will continue to play in the event of failure or is empty. DO NOT attempt to repair a faulty tank on your own. Paintball tanks are under high pressure and you can be injured or killed if you are not properly trained to maintain and repair tanks. Your local Paintball Shop or Dive Shop are good places to start when looking for someone to repair a tank.
7. Tools and Parts Parts – Most markers come with a few spare parts and tools necessary to maintain performance on the marker. Sure that remain in your bag. In addition, most manufacturers sell kits that include more parts of the same parties, and in many cases other parties that you want to have on hand in case they break. O-rings and seals are cup obvious items to have. A pick o-ring will help to remove damaged or broken O-rings that must be replaced. You'll also want to have oil in your kit firearms, which should be applied to the o-rings and when you replace or clean your marker. Remember to check if your marker requires or recommends a particular type of oil.
8. Batteries – If your electronic terminal, as more and more these days, you'll want to make sure you have extra batteries and a charger in your bag. If your hopper batteries required (requires many 2), then you'll want to consider these as well. I want to keep a fully charged set of batteries in my gun and hopper and another to spare as well. A fast car charger can be useful if your batteries die. You'll be out of the game for a bit, but at least all day is not wasted.
Important: Remember to check your direction markers to ensure that you are using the right type of battery. Some are very specific as to whether the standard batteries should be used or the types of rechargeable batteries available.
9. Food and water – If you play on a lot, chances are they have snacks and drinks available for sale, and you will probably a kind of lunch. The key here is to ensure that you stay well hydrated. Because many players choose to dress in layers so reduce the sting of being hit and are usually hidden, it is easy to become overheated or dehydrated. This will bring an end to what would otherwise be a great day. If you play with friends in the woods, be sure to take drinks and snacks with you. Take the opportunity to take a drink games and I guarantee you that will last longer and feel better as the day progresses.
10. A towel – It seems minor, but I found a small towel is handy to wipe my face or my gun off between games. It gives you something to throw your weapon if you want to avoid it is broken up (but if you play badly, it will scratch up), and it's good for wiping your hands.
Have fun on the field Paintball has a lot to do with how you're ready to play. A gun Paintball is great nice, but if you do not have everything it takes to keep you in good and working condition, you may spend more time on the key field. Having these items in your bag goes a long way toward keeping you safe and on the ground. Play hard!
