The quality of jute, cotton and polypropylene bags
Concerns have been raised recently about the quality of the commonly reusable bags available, especially non-woven polypropylene bags green.
While some suppliers use recycled polypropylene variable quality of non woven bags, Albury Enviro bags we use quality new equipment unless a particular client recycled material applications. We found that almost without exception, clients prefer new equipment. Although some may think this is cons-productive point of view environment, this may not necessarily be that bags made from new materials can significantly longer than those produced from recycled materials.
Although providers can save a few cents by using recycled materials when shipping and sustainability of the bag are considered, it is very doubtful that the ultimate consumer experience savings at all. bags of low quality produced from Recycled materials may even cost the consumer more in the long term if the benefits to producers of turnover has increased and reduced costs.
Because the quality of reusable bags is essential for their durability and usefulness of the environment no discussion about quality would be complete without an examination of bags made of natural fibers such as cotton bags and jute bags.
Since natural fiber bags have been claimed to have a life of 12 years, 3 or 4 times longer than non-woven bags it is clear that the environmental benefits of these bags are great. To obtain these figures, the bags must of course be properly loaded so that no sharp objects can tear the bag.
Although these figures may be a guide to the maximum load of bags, they are not of course indicate the type of load the bags must be submitted everyday use.
It should also be noted that non woven bags, especially tissue paper, can be easily torn if a deliberate attempt is made or if a sufficient force is concentrated on very few are of fabric. Such is the nature of the tensile strength of tissue. I'm sure most have had this type of phenomena in a cellophane wrapping commonly used. These packages seem hopelessly strong until you come to start a tear!
Despite this, the quality of reusable bags, whether made from polypropylene, jute, cotton, are all capable of a long and useful life if used and cared for properly. If misused or a bag can be destroyed very quickly.
