why we can not use recycled marterial to produce density plastic bags?
there are tons of plastic bags at low density made from recycled materials, but why we can not use recycled materials to produce plastic bags density? because its structure molecule??? Thank you
No, even if you just old recycled polyethylene bags to make new tricks recycled is not pure enough, not clean enough or sufficiently reliable in terms of its properties. Plastic bags are made from blown films, requiring intensive melt flow characteristics. Even minor inhomogeneities in physical properties cause the blowing operation film to completely fail. Other impurities could release things that would not be safe for food packaging, extensive use of film and plastic bags that you mentioned, but the density of HDPE is not suitable for bags because it is not enough melt processing. In addition, it lacks the flexibility needed for an application pack.
