Help with buying a laptop?
I need to buy a new laptop. I want something around 5 pounds, with 4 GB of memory (expandable preferred). I need a good battery life, 6 hours, and I need a 2 year warranty with a good reliability history. Also integrated into the optical drive, some USB ports, and a high-quality screen. HDD must be 320-500 GB and 7200 rpm certainly a plus. cost issues, but I'd be happy to pay a little more money for something that works well for some time. It will be used for email, websurfing, travel, and watch lots of movies. I looked at the ASUS and ACER UL50VT 5810, but Both seem to sacrifice quality for weight and economy. Dell Studio Series seems so, although my last Dell PC and I do not like it. I had a good experience with a VAIO some time ago, but they seem expensive for what you get. So I welcome suggestions, and why you think the suggestions are good! Thank you!
