Is it my fake Chanel bag or real?
It was a gift. It is leather, lambskin, quite large and yet very soft. Sewing is quite perfect, the logo also. There is a serial number and "Made in France" is engraved in the leather. I also have a map authenticity with a libretto by Chanel. Would this bag is real or is just really good replica? It is 2.55 XL Jumbo flap. I love bag either way, but I was just curious.
Step 1 Ensure that the logo. The Chanel logo is comprised of two locking "C" letters that face away from each other. The top of the right face "C" should bisect the top of the left face "C." Some vintage bags exist that have a reverse overlap located on the inner flap. This rule is for handbags and do not necessarily apply to other objects in the line of Chanel. Step 2 Find the authenticity card. An authentic Chanel handbag comes with. This card has highlighted a number standard. If there is no card if the card is not embossed or if there is no serial number included in the text, the bag is probably a knock-off. Step 3 Locate the serial number. There must be a serial number placed somewhere inside the bag. Before the end of 1990s, the serial number is printed on a white sticker with the Chanel logo printed in gold on the bottom. From the late 1990s to today, the number series was printed on a white label under 2 gold Chanel logos. The serial number is usually located inside the bag the lower left or zippered pocket. The sticker must be covered with a rectangle of clear tape large enough to cover then entire sticker. Step 4 Examine both the serial number on the card of authenticity and serial number on the bag. They must match. Step 5 Look about the material on the belt bag. The name or logo should be engraved on Chanel material strap. If a burn is missing, chances are that the bag is false. Step 6 Examine both sides of a zipper material. One side is engraved "Chanel" and the other is engraved with the Chanel logo. The force of attraction must match the rest of the bag material in the color and tone. STEP 7 Track any repeating pattern on the bag. The logos and quilting must line up. If there is a pocket sewn to the front of a quilted bag, quilted model does not break or deviate on the bag. The model aligns the top to the bottom of the bag as if there was no pocket at all.
