Comics from the '70s – which was on the inside cover (front or rear)?
I know it is a strange question, but here's the story behind. I grew up in another country and do not speak English at the time. My aunt at send us packages, including comics. I do not know any of the characters, so I have no idea which characters or company (Marvel or something else), they were. I remember being intrigued not so much by comics themselves, but on the inside cover, there were pictures of various objects, such as the lantern, tent, backpack, etc. Looking back it seemed they were prices to some something (perhaps the sale of comics or some other contest). Personally, I do not know anyone who collects comics ask them, if anyone here can tell me what the point of these things on the inside cover have been? I know it's not much information, but that's all I can remember.
it was an ad for a company (American Specialty or magazine GRIT), which gave the price (probably children) instead of a financial reward for selling their products …
