When you decorate your room, you can be pretty, elegant chic or shabby. Really any style is fine as it is comfortable and functional. Think about who may use your room and then consider what they need to feel at ease and comfortable in your home. Search neutral colors and if you stay in the family of colors blue, green and gray, you will create a relaxing and comfortable retreat for your guests.

If you can not have a carrier bag at hand for your guests, you can always provide the function with an empty table in the corner of the room or a bench at the foot of the bed. An old chest or canteen also works well for this function. You also want Leave space on a dresser or nightstand for pocket items, jewelry and a cell phone, and you can clear up a couple of drawers in a dresser for your guests to use.
Accessories No clutter. If you do not want the room to feel sterile, you do not want it to be crowded either. Choose your accessories carefully, and keep the overall look of the room clean and simple.
Something to sit on. Make sure to include a chair for guests to use while dressing or even to relax in. If space is limited, you can be able to include a small chair beside the bedside table, which work perfectly to take notes while on the phone or putting on shoes. If you have a little more space to spare, you can add a stuffed chair with a small table and a reading lamp. Be sure to include some ambient lighting in the room to help navigate unfamiliar territory a little easier.
Consider the closet. Provides a clear part of the wardrobe with empty coat hangers for guests to hang their clothes. If your room has no closet, you can also include a small closet, or even more of the organizer door hangers work with.
Make it work. Now add the basic things that everyone needs when they travel. A radio, alarm clock, a box of tissues and a notebook and pen are fundamental things that a visitor may require. Then make sure you have lots of pillows and extra blankets handy. You also want to have fresh towels and even toiletries and a hairdryer.
Nice touch. Traveling involves often changing time zones, and you always want your guests at ease. So put up a basket of "Welcome" items that may include bottled water, fresh fruit, snack bars, nuts and a few local magazines.
