How are African Americans received in Greece?
I am looking for my next vacation and found that the information received here to Dubai has been excellent, so I thought I'd try again. I think of going to Greece in the fall and was curious to see how African American men are received there? It may seem a strange question, but I found different places in the worldview of black men in different ways (from first hand experience) so I'm just curious. Thank you in advance!
Jason – I can not answer truthfully – my nieces (From the United Kingdom) are black – the worst thing that can happen (as a tourist) is Greeks look …… but what is common … generally not heard in a negative sense – they may think "what a good looking man you are! – I lived and here I am 21yrs ashamed to say that I have this annoying habit – I did on Saturday (without realizing it) until the "tourist" said: "What?" yikes – I was actually looking at her cocktail as it was huge and green – and I thought 'my God seems terrible -! wonder if it tastes as bad as it seems "A niece was really embarrassed by the looks – he saw as racist – other not that bothered (different personalities) So you have watched more than normal that Greece has not that many people here in black (a little more in Athens – but nothing like we have in the UK / France and the United States)
